Processor for Personal Insurance

Position Summary:

To provide assistance to Personal Protection Coaches in the processing of new and renewal personal lines business. To provide in-house support to the agents and producers as needed.

Job Functions:

  • Verification of Insurance from mortgagees, lienholders, dealerships and related entities. These inquires come by phone, fax, email and snail mail
  • EOI’s-Issue evidence of insurance to escrows, lenders and bank for new and existing customers per the instructions provided by the requestor
  • Billing questions from clients. Learn to self handle all of these inquiries and properly direct the client to make payment
  • ID Cards – Proof of insurance for autos. Properly issue to clients as requested
  • Basic claims questions & contacting adjusters when needed. Learn to and properly manage claims scenarios for clients until the closure of the claim
  • UW Memos- Handle or assist agents with underwriting memos, gathering information from clients, responding to insurance companies and handling related questions and data until the underwriting process is complete
  • Mortgagee Changes – Process, follow and assure completion of mortgagee on insurance policies
  • Loss Payee Changes – Process, follow and assure completion of loss payee on insurance policies
  • Cancelled Policy List (Once per week) –Review, update Hawksoft system, set suspense for the cancelled policy list from Hawksoft and work with all agents to assure this list remains up to date at all times
    o Work Hawksoft suspense of your own and those that are given to you by other teammates until full and proper complete of the task
  • Assist with quoting and applications when needed at the direction of your teammates

Commercial Lines Sales Producer

Position Summary:

You are a seasoned salesperson and enjoy the sales process. You are comfortable cold calling either in person or over the phone, networking at chamber events and other types of groups and meeting people. You desire to be part of a team and want to be part of the solution and not the problem.

Job Functions:

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance coverages.
  • Experience conducting needs assessment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Drafting prospect proposals and/or presentations.
  • Sales forecasting.
  • Promptly respond to client needs either on the phone or electronically.
  • Establish new relationships with potential clients and sign them up for insurance.
  • Cold calling over the phone and knocking on doors to offer and sell insurance.
  • Networking at the local Chamber mixers and other professional
    organizations/associations.
  • Once a product is sold, you will need to fill out appropriate forms and input into the software system.
  • Cultivate relationships and cross-sell additional lines of insurance.
  • Ability to draft invoices & collect payments.

Customer Service Representative for Personal Insurance

Position Summary:

To serve and grow the book of clients assigned to you by providing extraordinary service, educating the customer, identifying revenue growth opportunities and generating referrals. Account managers focus on growth within their current book of business while also backing up their co-workers.

Job Functions:

  • Establish working relationships with clients (and their key team members), potential clients and companies we represent on the phone, email and on paper.
  • Supporting teammates with follow up for clients and prospects.
  • Research and resolve coverage questions.
  • Promptly respond to client needs either on the phone or electronically.
  • Maintain client files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company… both paper records and on our many different software programs.
  • Review and prioritize all insureds’ requests for service and to submit by priority this information to insurance companies the day the request is received.
  • Process all monied transactions the day they are received.
  • Review and order all necessary renewals.
  • Review and process underwriting memos daily.
  • Account remarketing.
  • Perform miscellaneous input functions.
  • Electronically or via the internet – transmit change requests, cancellation requests, etc. to and from a company.
  • Cultivate new opportunities and offer additional lines of insurance
    through consultative selling.

Additional Duties:

  • Proactively reaching out to clients: working with clients on their policies, effective account rounding, generating referrals for personal lines and other departments, educating the clients about the benefits of having Goodwill Financial Agency as their insurance agency, proactively calling the cancelled business to try to win them back immediately.
  • Generating additional revenue on the book of business: account rounding, adding policy features and generating referrals for new business, suggesting and selling other commercial insurance products and advising that we also offer personal insurance programs too, understanding and building solid relationships with clients.
  • Providing outstanding inbound service: on claims, billing questions and endorsements. Working to manage clients expectations, follow up via phone or email with clients, use every opportunity to confirm and update client information, educate clients on the benefits of using our agency, service Commercial Lines accounts in a manner so as to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures
  • Positive attitude and efficient work ethic: work to increase and improve efficiency on a daily basis. This includes always finding ways to streamline processes, use technology tools to the fullest and limiting general distractions. Possess and maintain a positive mental attitude, including positive working relationships with clients and agency personnel.
  • Management System: send any onboarding materials to clients post-sale, update any missed new business items, work to support the marketing and branding team.
  • Helping Marketing Department: Suggest blog, email and social media topics, share agency social media posts on personal social networks, participate in pictures and agency branding opportunities when invited, other responsibilities as directed by your manager.
